Greetings and congratulations from British Columbia, Saskatchawan and Utah read and motion made that these, together with letters of thanks, be printed in the Journal of Proceedings. It was decided that owing to the expense of printing, paper, etc., not to have them printed and the motion was withdrawn. The matter of paying mileage and per diem to all ofiicers and heads of departments brought out considerable discussion. It was finally decided to pay mileage and per diem to the elective officers, to the Chaplain, Warden and Guardian, and mileage to the head of Good Lodge, Exchange and Home Departments for this year. Past President Martha Prescott suggested that, as the expenses of the Past Presidents was necessarily quite an amount, Section 6, Article Ill, be changed to read, the Association pay the expenses of the Junior Past President. This did not meet the approval of the Association, as all thought the Past Presidents should be present, if possible, as they were necessary to the best interests of the Association and the Order at large, as well as a support to the presiding President. It was voted the Article be not changed. Sister Rich of Wyoming, a visitor to the Association, allowed that she was the only (Rich) woman present and very kindly presented five dollars to the Association.
